Event 201 pandemic preplanning theory

Event 201 was a tabletop pandemic preparedness exercise held on October 18 2019 in New York City, jointly hosted by the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, the World Economic Forum, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. It simulated the global response to a novel coronavirus outbreak originating in pig farms.

Conspiracy adherents point to the timing, two months before the first reported Wuhan cases, as evidence of preplanning.
