JFK killed by Israel over Dimona nuclear program
Throughout 1963 John F Kennedy exchanged escalating letters with Israeli prime ministers David Ben-Gurion and Levi Eshkol demanding US inspector access to the Dimona nuclear facility in the Negev desert, which Kennedy believed was a weapons development site rather than the peaceful reactor Israel claimed.
Ben-Gurion resigned in June 1963 partly over the dispute. Kennedy's July 5 1963 letter to Eshkol warned that without unconditional inspections, US commitment to Israel could be 'seriously jeopardized'.
Adherents including investigative journalist Michael Collins Piper, in his 1995 book 'Final Judgment', argue Mossad coordinated the assassination through Mafia and CIA cutouts. The theory is rejected by mainstream historians and draws on broader antisemitic conspiracy frameworks. Israel publicly maintained ambiguity about its nuclear program until 1986 Vanunu disclosures.
