Reptilian elite theory

David Icke first laid out the reptilian theory in his 1999 book 'The Biggest Secret'. The core claim: an interdimensional race of reptilian humanoids, originating from the Draco constellation, has interbred with human bloodlines (the 'Babylonian Brotherhood') and now shape-shifts to occupy positions of power. Named members include the British Royal Family, the Bush and Clinton families, the Rothschilds, and most major heads of state.

Icke draws on a synthesis of Sumerian Anunnaki mythology, gnostic Archon literature, Sitchin's 12th Planet hypothesis, MKUltra ritual abuse claims, and David Hatcher Childress's lost civilizations material.

The theory is widely identified by scholars including Michael Barkun as an encoded form of antisemitic conspiracy ('Jewish bankers' translated to 'reptilian elites'). Icke denies antisemitic intent but has been banned from 26 European countries as of 2024.
