Starlink election interference theory

The Starlink election claim gained traction after the 2024 US presidential election, asserting that Elon Musk's SpaceX-operated Starlink satellite constellation was used to transmit altered vote tallies between county election offices, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, or voting machine vendors.

US voting infrastructure is air-gapped from public networks per CISA guidance and individual state procedures. Tabulators in major swing states (Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, Arizona) are not connected to satellite or internet uplinks during counting. CISA, state secretaries of state, and Dominion Voting Systems all stated no Starlink connection exists.

The theory inverts the 2020 'Dominion stole the election' narrative, with primary amplifiers including the Smart Elections organization.
